About Me

Approach

I believe that healthy human relationships are a major key to wellness. Thus, underlying all of my interactions with clients is knowledge of attachment theory and the role that the therapeutic relationship plays in the healing process. I work to provide safety, acceptance, and professional guidance in our therapy sessions so that you can freely explore your issues, heal, and make positive life changes.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LIC. 26864) and have been practicing psychotherapy for over ten years. I practice Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), a well researched and highly effective couples treatment. In my individual work,  I believe that understanding the impact of past and current relationship experiences is at the core of treatment. I also sometimes utilize behavioral change based tools when a particular problem interferes with optimal life functioning.

I enjoy treating anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship issues.  At times, I explore with clients ways that larger societal influences, culture, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and gender influence identities. I strive to be a culturally aware and inclusive therapist.
