Approach

I provide safety, acceptance, and professional guidance so that you can freely explore your issues. Together, we will work with your fears, loss, and pain and discover your strengths and resiliency.  I’ll help you feel less alone so that you can face your difficult emotional and relational experiences and heal. Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship issues are some of the typical issues I treat.

I strive to be a culturally aware and inclusive therapist. I often explore the impact of systemic racism, homophobia, sexism, and bias against disabilities. I also look at ways that culture, ethnicity, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, and gender influence identities.

Currently, I’m dedicated to trainings on understanding and treating racialized trauma.  I’m also working on increasing my  understanding and awareness of the impact of my own white privilege. In my personal life, I’m engaged with and support anti-racist movements and social justice issues.
